Ohio Natural Energy Foundation and Muskingum County Speedway Present Inaugural Shale Crescent Dirt Cup

The race will be held on Wednesday, June 10 in Zanesville, OH

The Ohio Natural Energy Foundation and Muskingum County Speedway are proud to present the inaugural Shale Crescent Dirt Cup on June 10, 2026. The first ever race of its kind pits the two top series’ Super Dirt Late Model drivers against one another, and will support the Foundation.

This invite-only unsanctioned event is modeled after the Ryder Cup golf tournament, placing the top racers from each series against one another to finally determine which series is the best in 2026.

The “Race for Scholar Dollars” will support the Ohio Natural Energy Foundation’s scholarship program that provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in the natural gas and oil industry, as well as other educational opportunities.

“The Ohio Natural Energy Foundation is honored to partner with the Muskingum County Speedway to give the Dirt Late Model world a race they have been dreaming about for decades,” said Bruce Tague, Executive Director of the Ohio Natural Energy Institute and Foundation. “One hundred percent of the donations made to the Foundation during the Shale Crescent Dirt Cup will support educational opportunities and industry trainings for the next generation of oil and gas professionals.”

“We are proud to work with the Ohio Natural Energy Foundation to continue to bring exciting events to our community and the dirt racing world,” said Tristin Moran, Muskingum County Speedway track promoter. “My family’s connection to the oil and gas industry makes us the perfect partner to host the Dirt Cup and help raise funds for the Foundation.”

Tickets can be purchased at myracepass.com, with kids all-access passes starting at $25 and adult passes starting at $45. The event will also be streamed live on FloRacing.
