Minimum Education Requirements: Associate Degree in Geoscience or Geology.

Geoscience Technicians may monitor the drilling of wells and report on the characteristics of rocks and terrain, and may also collect samples for laboratory analysis. In the lab, geoscience technicians may record and report on the results of resource analysis, and some geoscience technicians may also assist in developing and digitizing subsurface maps.
